Tuesday, September 29th, 2009i don’t know what it was about amc’s Mad Men that lured me into unequivocal devotion. the first time i saw it on tv was halfway through season two. i don’t remember what episode it was. i didn’t know the names of the dark-haired men, all looking extremely dashing in skinny ties and sucking on cigarettes. (i later learned that one of them was deep-in-the-closet Sal Romano and the other was the so-beautiful-it-hurts-to-look-at-much-like-a-lunar-eclipse Don Draper.) in that minute or so that i didn’t change the channel, i guess something just hit me because before i knew it, i was spending way too much money at the itunes store, downloading every episode of the first season, and all the episodes i had missed from the second.
